It quarrels with and attempts to subjugate foreigners. It taxes and conscripts persons in order to carry out its unjust designs, attempting to make all persons complicit in its unjust practices—it desperately runs amok against those who refuse to support its unjust practices, practices which themselves serve to perpetuate superfluous consumption.
His task was to demonstrate in practice the veracity of his bold claims about the self, to vindicate his own faith in humanity.
